Objective
Backdrop Design for Lakme Fashion Week 2021
For the first Phygital Edition of the event, I worked as part of the Visual Design team at Gently Altered, creating digital runway backdrops displayed on large LED screens. Each backdrop was designed to align with individual designer narratives, enhancing the live show with immersive visual storytelling. Images are courtesy of FDCI.

Sweet Reminiscences
By Geisha Designs
Known for blending traditional craftsmanship with contemporary luxury, their collection celebrated femininity under moonlight—featuring soft pastels, shimmer, and delicate shine inspired by a night-sky elegance. The digital backdrops were designed as a modern palace, evoking serenity and nostalgia while enhancing the pastel palette and intricate couture details on the runway.

New Born
by Samant Chauhan
Rooted in conceptual storytelling, the collection explored themes of renewal and self-discovery through muted tones, floral detailing, and dramatic silhouettes with fluid shimmer. The digital backdrops set the runway in a fog-laden forest of ghostly trees, amplifying the sense of obscurity while subtly guiding the narrative toward emergence and light.

Caged Kaleidoscope
by Nirmooha
The collection explored freedom through the lens of sustainable fashion, blending Indian craftsmanship with modern, retro-inspired silhouettes. Feather motifs and abstract grids symbolised optimism in confinement, echoing the emotional parallels of the pandemic. Set against open natural landscapes, the digital backdrops contrasted bamboo cages with lush greenery—capturing the tension between restriction and the quiet yearning for release.
